Long story but after our careers in education, Lynn and I moved to Costa Rica. Instead of our planned retirement we ended up owning and operating a private school there. We loved it but grew weary of earth tremors and moved back to the states. Georgia to be exact.
Instead of our planned retirement we ended up owning and operating a very successful upscale consignment shop in the lake resort town of Hiawassee, Ga. While we loved the shop, it wasn't long before we knew liberal Californians might not appreciate southern lifestyle. That was certainly true for us anyway. In fact, the chaos throughtout the USA drove us to consider a more peaceful, loving and diverse-embracing way if life in Boquete, Panama.
We now can honestly report we are retired and devoted our time and effort to a dog refuge. DOGCAMP has been in existence for 7 years and has had a profound effect on how dogs are treated within the community. They offer daycare, boarding, medical care, foster and adoptive services. We couldn't be happier.
